FPIC Cards & Pistol Permits

Handwritten forms are no longer accepted at the Oradell Police Department.

Persons wanting to purchase rifles or shotguns must be 18 years old and apply for a Firearms Purchase Identification Card (FPIC). Persons wanting to purchase a handgun must be 21 years old and apply for a handgun permit.

3Complete the online application. You will need the email addresses of two reputable references who have known you for a minimum of two years.

You will receive automated email updates throughout the process. Once complete, a final email will be sent with your permit information.

Effective July 5, 2022: All applicants applying for their first FPIC or permits to purchase handguns must provide proof of firearms training. Please submit documentation to the Oradell Police Department after applying online.

Concealed Carry Permit

The process for applying for a Concealed Carry Permit is now online. When qualifying with your handgun, your instructor must fill out the required form, which you can submit electronically along with your online application.

Payment Required: Cash or check made payable to the "Borough of Oradell" in the amount of $150.00 is required prior to your permit being approved.
